The Vaccines, the band that i'm currently obsessed with. First Post Break-Up Sex then Wetsuit, Norgaard, Tigerblood, Family Friend, Wrecking Bar etcetera. I couldn't stop listening to them, that probably the reason why I'm obsessed with them :). There's an old sound lingering to them. That's the reason The Vaccines is influenced by the '50s rock 'n roll bands, '60s garage- and girlgroups, '70s punk, '80s American Hardcore and good popmusic, haha could guessed it. Well no small talk anymore, let's listen to them!

The Naked and Famous

Ha, the naked and famous, one of my favorite bands!
The band exist out: Alisa Xayalith, Thom Powers, Aaron Short, Jesse Wood and David Beadle. To describe the sound of TNAF is almost impossible, it's like indierock fused with electropop and still having industrial touch to it. I have seen them live and it was amazing! The day after the concert I had an exam but I decided to skip the part of learning for that day and just go. And yes, it was so worth it. Alisa was in the beginning very shy and didn't looked up, she was in her own little bubble. After a while that changed and all the band members were running from one side of the stage to the other side. I can't express how much I loved it, it was truely amazing!!! When the show was over, I saw Alisa talking to the tourmanager or something. I didn't knew what to do and was hesitating what to do. Eventually I decided to go up to her and asked of she wanted to go on a picture with me and she did! She was so nice. It was one of the best concerts I've been to and guess what... I passed the exam! That day could not be ruined. Well my lovelies I advise you all to listen to the whole album, buy the damn thing and go to their concerts :)

MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS

I don't know if you could guess that the name of my blog is called after Marina and the Diamonds. The first time I ever heard of her was in 2009 with 'Hollywood'. The song was a little bit to much for me, especially the music video. I thought Marina was an another bimbo, pop singer and didn't paid much attention to her. My friend N. was in love with the song and at one point I also was addicted. I decided to search the lyrics and was amazed by the content of ´Hollywood´. I discovered more songs and found out that all her songs had a message. Now in 2011 I still listen to her songs and her new album is just out. I will always have a weak spot for her.

NAILS

well this time i´m going to talk about nails. I love nailpolish, you almost can´t catch me without it. I think it´s a beautiful  addition to your whole look, but i do not especially match it with my outfit.
I must say that I have a rather big collection, you can say that I have a sort of nailpolish addiction.  I know that I should try to use so much as possible but I only go back to a few... (bad bad!!!)

I have made a sort of nail dairy and here are some fragments;

I am craving for a bright red, pink orangy nailpolish. I thought that the most right one and the first of 

the 'nail dairy' was that colour but unfortunately it isn't...

ombré hair

Long time no see!
My latest obsession,

yeaah ombré hair.
My hair is pretty black and thick, i was wondering if this also can be done with my hair.
Research the web, looked some youtube how to's and decided just to do it.
Went to the drugstore and got me some blond hair dye.
I am now proudly posessing ombré hair!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I'ts finally 2011, wow twentyten went so fast.

I just wanted to say my highs and lows of 2010,

HIGHS: My graduation, I finally got my HAVO-diploma. Starting my study CMV, meeting new people, starting this blog =D and mostly the good times I had with my friends, Appelpop, trip to Amsterdam. 

LOWS: The dead of my grandpa and some friends I lost because we went our seperate ways after graduation.

But I think that 2011 can only bring good things for me and everyone. MAKE THE BEST OUT OF IT!
