The Naked and Famous

Ha, the naked and famous, one of my favorite bands!
The band exist out: Alisa Xayalith, Thom Powers, Aaron Short, Jesse Wood and David Beadle. To describe the sound of TNAF is almost impossible, it's like indierock fused with electropop and still having industrial touch to it. I have seen them live and it was amazing! The day after the concert I had an exam but I decided to skip the part of learning for that day and just go. And yes, it was so worth it. Alisa was in the beginning very shy and didn't looked up, she was in her own little bubble. After a while that changed and all the band members were running from one side of the stage to the other side. I can't express how much I loved it, it was truely amazing!!! When the show was over, I saw Alisa talking to the tourmanager or something. I didn't knew what to do and was hesitating what to do. Eventually I decided to go up to her and asked of she wanted to go on a picture with me and she did! She was so nice. It was one of the best concerts I've been to and guess what... I passed the exam! That day could not be ruined. Well my lovelies I advise you all to listen to the whole album, buy the damn thing and go to their concerts :)

Going fast

Do you remember the simple times, when you were little... there was nothing bad in the world and everything seemed alright. You come to realise that the world you've created when you're little was so innocent and you are now longing for those simple times again.
Some people stick to those times and never really grow up. They're hoping to see better days and are not living their lives, they are stuck. Why?
Other people are rushing through their lives. They're doing one thing and before they know it they´re busy with  thousand of things. Why?
Yes, here I go again, Why???? Why???? Why????
Live your life to the fullest, go back and find yourself. If you're not comfortable with yourself or don't know who you exactly are, ok not exactly but if you don't know your base, your ground, you're most likely are making mistakes who will linger your whole life with you. If you can prevent such of a negative influence in your life, why aren't you doing it...

This is also a note to myself and other people in my enviroment :)

MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS

I don't know if you could guess that the name of my blog is called after Marina and the Diamonds. The first time I ever heard of her was in 2009 with 'Hollywood'. The song was a little bit to much for me, especially the music video. I thought Marina was an another bimbo, pop singer and didn't paid much attention to her. My friend N. was in love with the song and at one point I also was addicted. I decided to search the lyrics and was amazed by the content of ´Hollywood´. I discovered more songs and found out that all her songs had a message. Now in 2011 I still listen to her songs and her new album is just out. I will always have a weak spot for her.

Waiting 'till the shine wears off

The last couple months I feel like crap. I was postponing everything, school, my family, internship, blog etcetera. Maybe I still am... but in contrast, my social life was booming.
Still I'm not satisfied. It feels like everybody is going forward, discovering life, seeying the special little things of life and I'm stuck, stuck doing nothing... Being the girl that I always am. This is nothing new for me, let me estimate how many times I feel this way.... uhhmm like four times a year. Ok I'm not being honest, once a month :)
This feeling comes when I feel insecure and kind off strange when I really live my life. When I'm making new friends, discovering new music, new blogs or styles.
I get jealous when people have acieved something. I only dream... And ohh it gets worst when I discovere that they're younger than me or the same age. Ohh and let me check what age I am, fuck I'm eighteen. I don't think it's very healthy to compare me with such things or is it? I am speaking of being the ultimate me/you. Just being who you wanna be, all the things you dreamed of or ever wanted and getting it, nothing is going to stop you untill you've achieved that goal.
Maybe I must stop whining, stop being the one who is standing still, watching her life passing by and just do something!
Not being the peson that had the chance for being the person she/ he  wanted to be and didn't grabbed the opportunity. I don't want to look back when I'm a old bittered grandma and say: ''if I had only...''

What also is bothering me is fake people, I can clearly see through you... They smile when something 'funny' happens, you can see their faces cramping and rapidly change their 'happyfaces' back again into their reheaserd look, fake.  Don't get me wrong I'm not a Saint.

I just wanna make clear:

NAILS

well this time i´m going to talk about nails. I love nailpolish, you almost can´t catch me without it. I think it´s a beautiful  addition to your whole look, but i do not especially match it with my outfit.
I must say that I have a rather big collection, you can say that I have a sort of nailpolish addiction.  I know that I should try to use so much as possible but I only go back to a few... (bad bad!!!)

I have made a sort of nail dairy and here are some fragments;

I am craving for a bright red, pink orangy nailpolish. I thought that the most right one and the first of

I want to talk about a beautiful song from James Blake, Limit to your love...
James blake is a British ´electronic´ composer and is only 21 year old. The first time i heard from him was through his song ´limit to your love´ and no there´s no limit of my love for this song. It´s actually a cover and it´s originally from Feist, I must say that the original is very good too. But I just love the version from James Blake, i can hear it all day long and i´m not kidding. Today I played it all day through!!!

ombré hair

Long time no see!
My latest obsession,

yeaah ombré hair.
My hair is pretty black and thick, i was wondering if this also can be done with my hair.
Research the web, looked some youtube how to's and decided just to do it.
Went to the drugstore and got me some blond hair dye.
I am now proudly posessing ombré hair!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I'ts finally 2011, wow twentyten went so fast.

I just wanted to say my highs and lows of 2010,

HIGHS: My graduation, I finally got my HAVO-diploma. Starting my study CMV, meeting new people, starting this blog =D and mostly the good times I had with my friends, Appelpop, trip to Amsterdam. 

LOWS: The dead of my grandpa and some friends I lost because we went our seperate ways after graduation.

But I think that 2011 can only bring good things for me and everyone. MAKE THE BEST OUT OF IT!
